Yes, I am treating patients, in accordance with CDC guidelines and Gov. Inslee’s mandate. While physical therapy is considered an essential service, I also support measures to Flatten the Curve. As a healthcare provider who has been practicing physical distancing to protect my patients, along with following universal health precautions and sanitizing processes in a low-volume and controlled clinic environment, I believe the risk of exposure to the virus is minimal in my clinic, as opposed to busier healthcare environments. That being said, please minimize your physical contacts, please stay home as much as possible, and if you feel even slightly ill, do contact me as I am able to provide therapy via telehealth.
Telehealth and E-Visits use video/audio software. It’s as simple as using your phone or computer. I do a great deal of teaching in my clinical treatments, so telehealth works well with my practice of physical therapy. I use a HIPAA compliant platform to conduct video/telephone conferencing as well as a digital exercise program. My goal is keep you healthy as we work together to regain your optimal functional mobility and well being during this exceedingly challenging time.
What You Can Do. Please contact your insurance company to check if they cover telehealth or e-visits and which CPT codes they accept. Ask if they are using CPT codes 99441/99442 or the 98966/98927 codes. Don’t let this put you off; it places you in a more knowledgeable and empowered position as an insured consumer, and will impress your insurance provider that you are an educated patient.
